Very few AI applications actually generate PNGs with a transparency layer, which any good desktop or UI icon should have. Iconmage is a very quick, very easy-to-learn solution to that problem.
Generate an image using your favorite text-to-image generator. Be sure to include “flat white background” somewhere in your prompt so that you receive an image whose background is white—the more flat and uniform the white, the better. When selecting an image, it is ideal that the icon itself contains no pure white areas; those white regions will become transparent during processing.
Do not worry—Iconmage will not overwrite your original file. It can also automatically resize the image to ideal desktop icon dimensions or even smaller UI / tooltip-sized PNGs.
